Two Dead In Northwest Miami-Dade Shooting, Motive Unclear
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police homicide investigators are trying to unravel a double murder in Northwest Miami-Dade.
According to police, Dorian Jones, 38, and Stephen Smith, 24, were shot and killed near Northwest 146th Street and 7th Avenue on Monday night. The victims were shot and killed in a white Grand Marquis. Police said 44 rounds were fired in all but there were no witnesses, at least none that have come forward yet.
Investigators believe there was a lone gunman because a man was seen running away from the shooting headed south on NW 7th Avenue from 146th Street.
Homicide detectives say they have no motive for the crime.
