Tropical Storm Don Makes Landfall, Weakens In Southeast Texas
MIAMI (CBS4) – Tropical Storm Don made landfall Friday night on the southeast Texas coast and immediately weakened to a tropical depression.
At 11:00 p.m. Friday, the center of the storm was located about 40 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas with winds of 35 miles per hour crossing the Texas coast near Baffin Bay
The National Hurricane Center has discontinued all watches and warnings related to the storm.
The storm is expected to produce 1 to 2 inches of rain from South Texas stretching to the extreme northeast of Mexico.
