WASHINGTON (CBSMiami) -- Elon Musk is joining Donald Trump's advisory team after the President-elect met with several tech titans Wednesday.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was picked along with Uber CEO Travis Kalanick and Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi for the now 19-person Strategic and Policy Forum.
"The Forum, which is composed of some of America's most highly respected and successful business leaders, will be called upon to meet with the President frequently to share their specific experience and knowledge as the President implements his economic agenda," the Trump-Pence Transition Team announced on their website.
Other Silicon Valley leaders at the meeting included Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, Google's Eric Schmidt and Larry Page, and Amazon's Jeff Bezos.
"America has the most innovative and vibrant companies in the world, and the pioneering CEOs joining this Forum today are at the top of their fields," said Trump. "My Administration is going to work together with the private sector to improve the business climate and make it attractive for firms to create new jobs across the United States from Silicon Valley to the heartland."
