NEW YORK (CBSMiami) – You can tell Donald Trump doesn't like losing his title of front runner one bit.
On Tuesday, he was firing away at all of his Republican rivals, especially Marco Rubio whose poll numbers continue to rise.
At a New York book signing, Trump had something to say about everybody.
"Do I think it's time to have some of the other republican candidates drop out? Yes."
"I think Marco is highly overrated."
"Ben Carson does not have that energy."
"My Jeb impression? Nah, I don't want to do that. I don't like showing a person sleeping at a podium. "
After weeks of attacking Bush, Trump is having more to say about Rubio, who's leading Bush by eight percentage points in a new poll by Bay News 9 out of the Tampa-Saint Petersburg. Trump said Rubio's finances are a mess.
"Marco Rubio personal finances are discredited. All you have to do is look at this credit card. He's a disaster with his credit cards," said Trump.
Rubio's personal financial woes include charging personal expenses on a Republican Party credit card, facing foreclosure and paying a huge penalty to liquidate a retirement account.
But the Florida senator's poll numbers continue to rise.
A second national poll shows Trump trailing Carson among Republicans, with Carson at 29 percent and Trump at 23 percent.
Trump said he finds Carson's lead mystifying.
"I don't know how he stays there," he said.
Carson responded at a book signing in Tampa.
"I say go talk to the people, they understand," Carson said.
Carson, who is now the frontrunner, is bringing his book tour and campaign to South Florida on Thursday. He will make stops in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Kendall.
