SARASOTA (CBSMiami) -- Donald Trump is spending his final hours of the campaign hitting as many states as possible.
The Republican presidential nominee woke up in Colorado Sunday, then traveled to Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
He's spending the night in Sarasota.
"We're going to make America great again," he said, repeating his mantra. "We're going to make America great again."
The weekend was another whirlwind day on the campaign trail. Among the seven states Trump hit were a handful he believes he can turn from typically Democratic to Republican, all the while continuing to question whether Hillary Clinton can be trusted.
"Hillary Clinton will be under investigation for a long, long time, for her many crimes against our nation, our people, our democracy," Trump told his audience.
In Iowa, he seemed to hint that Gov. Terry Branstad would be a part of his cabinet should he become elected to the nation's highest office.
"I think there's nobody that knows more about trade, he's one of the ones, in dealing with China, you would our prime candidate to take care of China," Trump told the governor.
In Minnesota, the Republican nominee again berated the press.
"If I don't win Minnesota, I'm going to look real bad to those pundits that I do not respect very much," he admitted. "And there are some of them right up there, the world's most dishonest people. The media. Totally dishonest people."
Then it was on to Pennsylvania and Virginia, before he ended up in Sarasota. His campaign hits the west coast Florida city Monday.
Ahead of that rally, his son Eric visited the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show on Sunday.
"I love my father," Eric Trump said. "He's my best friend in the world. He's got a heart of gold and the media doesn't want to fight for him for the most part. Special interest dollars he's up against is tremendous, superPACS, the lobbyists, everything else. And so, who's fighting for him? The American people are fighting for him, and all the people you see behind me, and all the love, and all the support, and his family fights for him, and that's all that matters. Hillary, everywhere she goes, she brings Beyonce. He brings his family. We fight together and I know what a great job he'll do for this nation."
