Trucker "Jacked" At Miami Gas Station
MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami police are investigating a truck jacking from a gas station.
Investigators said the driver of a semi-tractor trailer was at a Shell gas station on U.S.1 and 27th Avenue in Coconut Grove around 11 a.m. when he was hijacked by an unarmed man.
They drove to a parking lot behind a building just off Coral Way and 32nd Avenue where they stopped and parked.
Police said a large quantity of items was taken from the truck. They have not provided a description of the man or the type of vehicle he drove off in.
Witnesses told CBS4 the truck driver appeared to have red marks on his hands and wrists indicating he may have been bound with cord or rope.
