Rina Is No More
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Rina has degenerated into a remnant low over the Yucatan Channel Friday evening.
At 5:00 p.m. Friday, the center of what was Rina was about 75 miles west of the western tip of Cuba and had maximum sustained winds decreased of 30 mph.
As a result of the weakening, all tropical storm warnings and watches have been discontinued by the Mexican government.
Upper level wind shear took its toll on Rina and the storm has been pulled apart. However, Rina's moisture is being carried to South Florida and will bring us some rain over the weekend.
You can get complete details on the storm, including up-to date maps and forecasts, at the CBSMiami Tropical Weather Center.
