Tropical Storm Leslie Continues Northward Trek
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Leslie passed well north of the Leeward Islands as it continued its push to the northwest.
At 5 p.m. Sunday the center of the storm was about 370 miles north of the Leeward Islands.
Leslie had maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, with higher gusts.
The storm is moving northwest at 10 mph.
The storm is expected to take a turn to the north-northwest and slow in speed through Monday.
The storm will create high surf along the coasts of Puerto Rico, the Leeward Islands and the Virgin Islands on Sunday.
