Tropical Storm Leslie Continues A Slow Drift North
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Leslie is becoming a little better organized as it continues to drift toward the north with no change in strength.
At 11 p.m. on Tuesday, the center of the storm was about 500 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. It had maximum sustained winds of 65 mph with higher gusts. It was moving to the north at only 2 mph.
There are no watches or warnings in effect for this storm.
Leslie is expected to move in a slow northerly direction, some times erratically, for the next day or so.
Swells generated by Leslie could affect portions of the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda and the U.S. east coast from central Florida north. These swells could cause life-threatening surf and rip currents.
