Last Advisory Issued On Kirk
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The National Hurricane Center has issued its last advisory on what was once Tropical Storm Kirk. They're now calling it a post tropical cyclone.
At 5 p.m. Sunday the center of the storm was about 855 miles north-northwest of the Azores. Kirk had maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and it was moving to the northeast at near 47 mph.
The NHC forecast that Kirk will continue to race out to sea Sunday night and merge with a front on Monday.
The storm is not posing a threat to land.
