Tropical Storm Ida Expected To Continue Lingering

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Tropical Storm Ida is forecast to continue hovering over the same area of the subtropical Atlantic.
At 5 p.m., the center of the storm was about 1010 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands. Ida had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and was moving east-southeast at about 5 mph.
A continued slow eastward or east-southeastward motion with a decrease in forward speed is expected during the next day or two.
Little change of strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
