Tropical Storm Gaston Forecast To Regain Hurricane Intensity

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Gaston is forecast to regain hurricane intensity by Saturday.
At 11:00 p.m. Friday, the center of the system was about 990 miles northeast of the Leeward Islands.
Gaston's maximum sustained winds are sitting at 65 mph with higher gusts. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles from the center.
Gaston is moving toward the northwest near 15 mph, and the cyclone should continue in this general direction at a slower rate of forward speed during the next two days.
Some strengthening is forecast and Gaston is expected to become a hurricane again on Saturday.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
