Tropical Storm Edouard Moving Through Far Eastern Atlantic
MIAMI (CBSMiami) –Edouard remains a Tropical Storm in the far eastern Atlantic Friday.
At 11:00 p.m., Tropical Storm Edouard was located about 1,175 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour.
It's moving west-northwest near 13 miles per hour.
This motion with a gradual decrease in speed is expected during the next couple of days.
Tropical Storm Edouard is expected to slightly strengthen during the next 48 hours with the storm becoming a hurricane by Sunday.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect .

Tropical Storm Edouard is the fifth named tropical storm of the current Atlantic hurricane season.
The last time that name was used was in 2008, when Tropical Storm Edouard came ashore in Texas. The storm was blamed for one death and minor coastal flooding.
