Tropical Storm Conditions Expected In Bermuda
MIAMI (CBS4) – Rain bands from Tropical Storm Maria are affecting Bermuda as the storm moves up the Atlantic.
At 8:00 a.m., Maria's maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph Thursday. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says the storm could become a hurricane later in the day, but weakening is expected after that.
A Tropical Storm Warning and a Hurricane Watch are in effect for Bermuda. The hurricane center says Maria will quickly pass west of Bermuda on Thursday.
Maria is centered about 200 miles west-southwest of Bermuda and is moving north-northeast near 26 mph.
