Tropical Depression #13 Forms In Central Atlantic
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Say hello to Tropical Depression #13.
The National Hurricane Center said the small tropical depression formed over the central Atlantic on Monday.
At 5 p.m., the center of the storm was about 1350 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands. It had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and was moving to the northwest at about 3 mph.
There are no watches or warnings for this storm.
The NHC forecasts that the system will continue on a slow northwest motion Monday night and Tuesday. It will take a north-northwest turn on Wednesday.
Some strengthening is expected over the next day or two and it could be a tropical storm by Tuesday.
