T.D. 11 Upgraded To Tropical Storm Kirk In Eastern Atlantic
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Atlantic Hurricane Season is definitely hitting its peak as Tropical Depression 11 has strengthened into Tropical Storm Kirk in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
At 11 p.m. Tuesday, T. S. Kirk was located roughly 1230 miles east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles, had winds of 45 miles per hour, and was moving to the west-northwest at 12 miles per hour.
The system poses no threat to land and forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said the system should continue to move to the west or west-northwest for the next couple of days.
