Toyota Recalls Some Hybrids For Safety Check
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Over 80,000 models of Toyota Prius and Lexus were voluntarily recalled Tuesday to check on the safety of the brakes.
The 2010 Prius and Lexus HS 250h models both have a brake pressure accumulator that, according to Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., could possibly develop a fatigue crack internally because of the car's vibration.
Owners of these vehicles, approximately 87,000, should expect to receive a notification by first class mail.
Once the vehicle has been expected, if necessary, the dealer should replace the brake booster pump assembly at no cost to the customer.
