Tornado Leaves Path Of Destruction In Volusia County
EDGEWATER, Fla. (CBS4/AP) — Residents in Volusia County are cleaning up after a tornado ripped through Monday afternoon.
Forty homes were damaged when the twister touched down in Edgewater. A least a dozen of those homes totally destroyed, said the Edgewater Fire Department.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports two people sustained minor scratches. No major injuries were reported.
Firefighters are assessing the damage that includes trees and power lines down and debris along roadways.
