Top Performers From The Dolphins Week 17 Win Over The Patriots

The Miami Dolphins' disappointing 2015 campaign came to a positive end on Sunday.
After losing seven games in nine weeks, the Dolphins closed out the season with a 20-10 win over the New England Patriots.
It was Miami's only win in six games against AFC East opponents.
There are going to be a lot of new faces around the Dolphins facility in the coming weeks.
One change has already been made with the firing of general manager Dennis Hickey. On Monday Miami introduced Chris Grier as his replacement.
Before completely putting the 2015 season in the rearview mirror, here are the top performers from the Dolphins Week 17 win over the Patriots.
Ryan Tannehill
After a rough month of December Tannehill closed out his fourth NFL season with a very solid outing. He completed 25 of his 38 pass attempts for 350 yards and two touchdowns. It was the highest yard total for Tannehill since Week 2 in Jacksonville when he threw for 358. His quarterback rating of 112.8 was also his second-highest of the season, with the first coming in Week 7 against the AFC South champion Texans.
DeVante Parker
Miami's 2015 first round pick barely saw the field until the end of November but gradually he began showing signs of why he was deserving of such a high draft selection. Parker cracked 100 yards for the first time in his career against the Patriots, catching five passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. In the six games that Parker caught three or more passes he averaged 20.4 yards per reception.
Jarvis Landry
Miami's future at receiver is brighter than any other position on the field by far with Landry and Parker. On Sunday Landry had another solid game, catching six passes for 72 yards while making several tacklers miss, something he has become quite good at. Landry had a record-breaking year for the Dolphins, finishing the season with 110 receptions for 1,157 yards. The areas that could be better are yards per reception (10.5) and touchdowns (4).
Neville Hewitt
The undrafted rookie linebacker received more playing time against the Patriots than in any previous game and he made the most of it. Hewitt was constantly around the ball and was a thorn in New England's side all afternoon. He finished the game with six tackles, including one for a loss, and one pass defended.
Honorable Mention- Greg Jennings
It was a rough season for Jennings, who lost most of his playing time after Joe Philbin was fired. He was targeted 21 times during the first six games of the season but only eight times in the following nine games. Week 17 was a different story as Jennings caught four of his five targets for 74 yards.
