Top Performers From The Dolphins Week 15 Loss To San Diego

The Miami Dolphins' season is spinning out of control.
Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers was Miami's sixth in the last nine weeks, leaving them with a 5-9 record heading into the final two games of the season.
It didn't help that Miami was playing against an emotionally motivated Chargers team that was possibly playing its final home game in San Diego.
From the opening kickoff it was clear that there was a better team on the field and that it was not Miami.
The Dolphins appeared disinterested and unfocused, and the play calling reflected that.
In a game that was not as close as the 30-14 final score would indicate, here are the Dolphins top performers.
Kelvin Sheppard
There aren't many players on Miami's roster that you could say are having underrated seasons, but Sheppard is one of them. He finished with 12 tackles against the Chargers, including two for a loss, making his season total 95 which is good for second on the team behind Reshad Jones' 124. He also came away with two passes defended.
Jay Ajayi
He did about as good as you could when getting just seven touches. Ajayi gained 27 yards and his first NFL touchdown on six carries while adding one catch for 15 yards.
DeVante Parker
Miami's other playmaking offensive rookie added to his small but ascending stat line. Parker came up with four receptions for 87 yards, a 21.8 yards per catch average. On the season Parker has now made 17 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.4 yards per reception.
Reshad Jones
Another week of solid play from the prospective Pro Bowl safety. Jones finished with seven tackles, one pass defended and an interception, his fifth of the season. The pick isn't as impressive as it could've been though as Jones fumbled the ball after a 42-yard return. Still, Jones had a strong game and once again was Miami's most consistent player on the field.
Michael Thomas
Given a full game to show what he can do, Thomas came up with a team-leading 14 tackles including one for a loss and a pass defended.
