With September marking the month of Hispanic culture and Mexican Independence, Florida has been pretty busy with festivals, carnivals and events that celebrate Hispanic origins. Most events have food, dance and — most importantly — music. Coconut Creek has a very nice festival planned for a Saturday morning through to the afternoon, which is free and open to the public. From 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., audiences can join The City of Coconut Creed and The Multicultural Circle and enjoy a mini-concert event by Healing Rhythms & Jazz, Interactive Music Experience Indigo Nation (Latino fusion), Beatriz Malnic & Ivo de Carvalho (Brazilian music).

With free admission and lawn seating, Jose Gonzalez returns to South Florida for a special visit. An indie-folk artist, NPR raves that "With a small group, the music is spacious, somewhat sensual. His classical guitar chords are melodic, the harmonies adventurous, his voice soothing." Jose's return has been highly anticipated. In his absence, he has been working on and composing film soundtracking, touring and expanding upon his own music abilities.
