Top Ceviche In South Florida

Of all the things the Moors introduced to the evolving world, who would have thought of ceviche? It is said, Moorish women from Granada, Spain, are single-handedly responsible for introducing modern-day ceviche to Peru, as they accompanied Spanish conquistadors and colonizers into South America. Scattered throughout the coastal regions of Latin America, ceviche has become so beloved that South Florida has adopted the Peruvian ceviche as part of its nightly menu. Interestingly enough, a state with strong Moorish heritage would be honored with the delight of having a dish returned to them through upscale cuisine, enriched with Peruvian influence. Many ceviche restaurants in South Florida tend to also have Japanese influence.

A dish that utilizes lemon and lime to cook and tenderize fish and shellfish, a taste of the tropics, ceviche is too good to be true. The following South Floridian restaurants have such good ceviche, they were named after it. We encourage you to try it yourself!
