Two Fat Cookies
245 NE 2nd Ave.
Delray Beach, FL 33444
(561) 265-5350
www.twofatcookies.comBelieve it or not, this is one of the few bakeries that isn't also a diner or chain restaurant that serves pie in South Florida. And, when we say they have pies, they sure have pies! These pies are so rich and creamy; you gain about five pounds just looking at them! If you don't know the difference between a tort and a tart, you will learn it at Two Fat Cookies. While not necessarily a pie, a tart is a dessert using a pie shell and filled with fruits or rich fillings, such as chocolate. They are topped with whipped cream, too. Unlike pie, they are a bit thin, which makes for a different experience than a traditional pie. The torte, like many pies, is filled with jams and butter creams. The crust, however, is more cakelike than a traditional pie. That said, Two Fat Cookies has tortes, tarts and traditional pies, in addition to their great selection of cookies, cakes, cupcakes, cookie cakes and cake pops!
