Top Adult Computer Classes In South Florida

As popular as smart phones and computers are these days, many people don't understand how to operate one beyond checking their email. But there is more to a computer than just searching the web. By attending a computer class, residents of South Florida can learn how to create worksheets, type letters, copy and paste information, even create powerpoint pages. Recreation centers, public school districts, colleges and senior centers in South Florida all offer computer classes at various times and dates.

The Miami-Dade County Public Schools offer class sites at multiple public schools throughout the Miami-Dade school district. The Community Education Before & After Program offers a basic computer class, computer 1 and computer 2 class, and the program even has a keyboarding class to improve keyboarding proficiency. There are also a Computers for Children class and a Computer Fun class for young kids. With multiple sites to choose from, just about anyone living within the Miami-Dade County school district can find a class to suit their needs.

The City of Miami's Technology Learning Centers are held at many of the community parks throughout the city. The Elevate Miami program is run on a donation only basis. The free computer classes are geared towards youth, adults and seniors. Some classes are even offered at senior centers. The e-park and e-seniors facilities have open lab hours for students to drop in and practice their computer skills or to simply use the computer for surfing the web. The computer classes offered by this venue are held at the Fienberg Fisher location on Drexel Avenue. The introduction to computers class is the only adult education class held here. The class is designed to help students learn the basics of operating a computer. Students will also learn how to work with word processing programs and how to create spreadsheets.
