MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was a half time show like no other. No, there was no Madonna. Nope, not even Janet Jackson. It was the top 50 Miami Dolphin players of all time – and the fans loved it.
It was a who is who of Miami sports headlines for the last 50 years. From the very first Dolphins back in mid '60s to today, they were all honored.
"Today a lot of guys walked on the field. Lot of them from different eras, but a lot of them all dolphins in the end and exciting to be part of it," said former Dolphins tight end Keith Jackson.
The top 50 have been in town for three days of events.
What's unique is many had never met each other, from different eras and different Dolphin teams.
And for those of us at CBS4, there was a little something extra special. Yup, Kim Bokamper took to the field once again.
Our long time sportscaster was voted in a one of the top 50 Dolphins of all time, but was working the game as a sideline radio reporter for the Dolphins versus New York Giants game.
"Just to go out kind of step out and tell the fans, be in front of them and be thankful what they had done for us," said former Dolphins safety Glenn Blackwood. "It was a cool moment and I enjoyed it."
It was 50 years of Dolphins football – a halftime show never to be forgotten.
