Tony Parker Has Strained Hamstring
SAN ANTONIO (CBSMiami) – The San Antonio Spurs had no problems dispensing with the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the 2013 NBA Finals, but the task may be a little tougher depending on the status of point guard Tony Parker's hamstring.
Parker left the game in the third quarter and went to the locker room for treatment on his hamstring injury. He would re-enter the game, but played only one more minute before leaving Game 3 for good. Parker finished with six points and eight assists in 27 minutes of play.
Parker's playing status for Game 4 is unknown after an MRI showed he had a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Parker has already had to come back from a bruised calf in the postseason, but it didn't force him to miss any playing time.
The Spurs didn't need much of a contribution from Parker in Game 3 thanks to the play of the team's role players like Danny Green and Gary Neal, who combined for 51 points in the game.
Game 4 is Thursday night in San Antonio at 9 p.m.
