MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Senator Tim Kaine is campaigning in South Florida over the weekend and calling for the community to get out and register to vote.
The Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center, part of Miami Dade College's North Campus, is hosting Saturday's event during the final weekend before the state's new October 18th voter registration deadline. On Sunday and Monday, Kaine will head to Tallahassee, Panama Beach and Pensacola.
On stage, Kaine will be promoting "Hillary Clinton's plans to create an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top, and their shared vision for an America that is stronger together," their campaign press release states.
Joining Kaine at a Florida Democrats block party, hip hop artist Pusha T will speak in support of the Clinton-Kaine ticket.
The visit continues a big week of political appearances in Florida's battleground state as vice presidential opponent Mike Pence also stopped in Miami, as well as Pensacola. On Thursday, President Barack Obama is scheduled to talk at Miami Dade College about the Affordable Care Act.
