Tiger To Miss U.S. Open
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – His game has been missing for quite a while, but it's now official, Tiger Woods will not play in the 2011 U.S. Open.
Tiger has played in 6 tournaments this year and has finished in the top 10 only twice this season. Still, he's made over $500,000 to this point on the 2011 tour.
Tiger recently withdrew from the Player's Championship due to an injury to his knee and Achilles tendon. He had been frustrated during the first nine holes of the tournament and was struggling at the time of his withdrawal.
Tiger has also fallen out of the top 10 in golf rankings for the first time since April 6, 1997 when he was just 21-years-old.
