Three Teens In Custody After Police Chase, Shooting
HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) – Hallandale Beach police are searching for a fourth suspect who allegedly led police on a three city chase on Saturday.
Hallandale Beach police spokeswoman Sonia Quinones said it began around 1:50 a.m. when officers were called to check out reports of several individuals trying to break into a car in the parking lot of the Cheetah Hallandale Beach gentleman's club on Ansin Boulevard. When the officers approached them, Quinones said the suspects jumped in their car and took off. The chase proceeded through Hollywood into Dania Beach. At one point, the suspects' car hit an unmarked Hallandale Beach vehicle.
The suspects finally stopped and took off on foot. With the assistance of Broward Sheriff's deputies, three of them were rounded up.
Quinones said at one point during the chase and subsequent bail out, their officers fired on the suspects.
Taken into custody were a 14-year old boy, who had been grazed by a bullet in the arm, a 17-year old male and 18-year old Leon Lindo.
The fourth suspect remains on the loose, police have not provided a description of him.
