Three Canes Selected On Puerto Rico Tip-Off All-Tournament Team

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Hurricanes basketball team is off to a great start this season.
The Canes have won each of its first five games, two of which came against ranked opponents en route to winning the 2015 Puerto Rico Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend.
Miami won each of its three games in the tournament handily, beating Mississippi State by 26, No. 16 Utah by 24 and No. 22 Butler by 10.
The Hurricanes looked dominant during the majority of its time in Puerto Rico.
Three of Miami's starting five were selected on the Puerto Rico Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.
Angel Rodriguez averaged 13.7 points per game and 4.0 assists per game.
Tonye Jekiri averaged a double double with 13.3 points and 11.3 rebounds.
Sheldon McClellan averaged 17.7 points per game while shooting an impressive 60-percent from the field (17-of-28).
The 5-0 Canes will have to wait until Monday afternoon to find out if and where its ranked when the new weekly polls come out.
CBS Sports' updated Top 25 has Miami ranked number nine.
The Hurricanes next game is on Friday at 4 p.m. against Northwestern at the Bank United Center.
