Thousands Walk For Autism At Sun Life Stadium
MIAMI (CBS4)—Throngs of people walked for autism Saturday at Sun Life Stadium for the first Dan Marino Foundation Walkabout Autism.
The event will be come an annual gathering that is geared to raising awareness and raising funds for autism.
Participating schools such as the University of Miami, Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related disabilities, Florida Atlantic University received money that will benefit special needs programs as will the Autism Societies of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Both Miami Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland and Dan Marino both have children with autism.
