Temperatures Falling Over The Next Few Days
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - Showers and thunderstorms moved over the area Sunday night into Monday morning after the mercury soared to 90 degrees, tying a record Sunday.
But with the passage of the showers and a cold front on Monday, the temperatures will be plummeting over the next few days.
Later in the afternoon Monday, the cold front will clear the area allowing drier air and clearing skies and eventually some much cooler weather.
After topping out in the upper 70's Monday, temperatures will start to drop as the winds shift out of the north and northwest. With clear skies and a northerly wind, overnight lows will drop into the 40's by Wednesday morning.
After Monday, most of the area will see lots of sunshine and highs in the low 70's.
