Fla. Lawmaker Files Teen Driver Bill
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/NSF) -- Parents who want to know more about their teenage drivers may be able to pay for the privilege.
A bill, introduced Monday by Sen. Greg Evers, R-Baker, would allow parents to pay to keep tabs on their young motorists.
The measure would allow parents of under 18-year-old drivers to pay $5 to be electronically notified if junior gets in an accident or gets a ticket.
The measure, SB 854 would also inform parents of revocations and suspensions in case their teen "forgets" to let them know.
