MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Teams of twelve tugged a 164 ton airplane in Miami, all for a cause on Saturday.
While the twenty teams competed to see who could tug the UPS 757 plane for 42 feet down the runway the fastest, the goal, at the same time was to raise money and awareness for United Way's work in the community.
United Way of Miami-Dade will use the funds raised at the event to improve education, financial stability and health in the community.
Some well-known locals were set to be at the Tug-A-Plane event to cheer on the teams including Miami Heat's Burnie and University of Miami's Sebastian.
