Target Recalling USB Cables Over Fire, Shock Hazard
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Target is recalling 90,000 USB lightning charging cables.
The Minnesota-based megastore made the decision due to shock and fire hazards.
The consumer product safety commission says metal around the cord can become electrically charged if it makes contact with the USB wall charger plug prongs.
Target received 14 reports of cables smoking, sparking or igniting.
Consumers can return the cables to target for a full refund.
