Tamiami Bridge Moved Across Town For Refurbishing

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- If you were ever wondering how to move a bridge from one side of town to the other, the answer is... very slowly.
The historic Tamiami canal swing bridge was taken to a new location Sunday morning.
Workers transported the bridge through the streets until it eventually reached the Police Benevolent Association Park. From there, it'll be refurbished before being placed over the Comfort Canal at a later date.
