Tamarac Man Charged In Sexual Assault In Hospital
FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Tamarac man was arrested after he allegedly raped a physically disabled woman at a South Florida hospital.
Charles Tarver, 33, reportedly assaulted the woman last Wednesday at the Florida Medical Center at 5000 W Oakland Park Boulevard.
Tarver, who was also a patient at the hospital, went to the woman's room, groped her and then sexually assaulted, according to his arrest report.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said because of her disability, the woman was unable to physically fight back.
Tarver was charged with one count of sexual assault. Taking into account his criminal past, Broward Judge John Hurley set bond at $50,000.
