Florence Weakens, No Threat To Land
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Florence, a storm in the eastern Atlantic that poses no threat to land, has weakened.
As of 5 p.m. Saturday, the storm has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.
Florence is located about 845 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands.
Florence is moving west at 14 mph. This general motion is expected to continue through Monday, though Florence may speed up. A gradual weakening of the storm is forecast over the next couple of days.
