Swimming Advisory Lifted For South Of Pompano Pier
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The all clear for swimming has been given to a popular stretch of a Broward beach.
On Tuesday, the county's health department reported that water samples taken from ocean just south of the Pompano Beach Pier came back with acceptable test results and they had lifted a swimming advisory for that area.
The no swimming advisory was issued on December 20th after water samples did not meet state requirements.
County health officials said the bacterial count in the water created unhealthy beach water conditions and could cause swimming-related gastroenteritis.
