Tropical Storm Leslie Slows To A Crawl
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Swirling out in the south central Atlantic Ocean, Tropical Storm Leslie has slowed to a crawl.
At 5 p.m. on Monday, the center of the storm was about 585 miles south of Bermuda. It had maximum sustained winds of 60 mph with higher gusts. It was moving to the north-northwest at only 3 mph.
There are no watches or warnings in effect for this storm.
Leslie is expected to move in a slow northerly direction for the next day or so.
Swells generated by Leslie could affect portions of the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bermuda and the U.S. east coast from central Florida north. These swells could cause life-threatening surf and rip currents.
