Sweater Weather Takes Over So. Fla.
MIAMI - (CBS4) - What a difference a day makes.
In just 24 little hours, South Floridians awoke Friday morning with a slight shiver.
After a stormy and cloudy Thursday, the skies have cleared, the sun is out and the cold air has taken over behind the strong cold front that spawned the severe weather just a day earlier.
Many areas in South Florida registered temperatures ranging from the low to mid 50s, even a few inland locations dipped down to the upper 40s, reported CBS4 Meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.
Despite the bright sunshine, highs are struggling to reach the low 70s with a strong breeze out of the Northwest behind the front that moved through overnight.
High pressure will provide us with a dry, stable atmosphere through the weekend.
Friday night will likely be even colder with upper 40s inland and low 50s near the coast.
As winds shift out of the Northeast tomorrow afternoon highs will creep back up to the mid 70s in the afternoon. Sunday, South Floridians will enjoy a cool start with lows in the 60s and then we will warm up to the upper 70s in the afternoon with more of an onshore flow.
