Suspects Sought After Two Separate NW Dade Shootings
MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami-Dade Police are looking for the suspects responsible for two deadly shootings that happened within 24 hours of each other over the holiday weekend.
Early Saturday, two people were killed and four others were injured when a gunman opened fire in the Frontier Lounge on Northwest 58th Street and 22nd Avenue. Police have not released the names of the dead or wounded.
On Sunday afternoon two people, a mother and son, were shot inside a small restaurant they were renovating at 5828 NW 22nd Avenue.
Miami-Dade police spokesman Det. Roy Rutland said both were rushed to the hospital. The son, Raul Patridge, 19, died at the hospital on Monday morning. His mother, Lutricia Allen, 41, is listed as serious. The shooting happened about a block from the location of Saturday's shooting.
Rutland confirmed that the shooters are on the loose.
Police do not believe the shootings are related. Investigators believe Sunday's shooting may have been part of a robbery.
Anyone with information on either shooting is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
