FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) – A man, who was arrested on charges of burglary, battery and false imprisonment, died while in custody of the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), according to authorities.
Markus Clark, 26, appeared to be under the influence of an unknown drug when he was arrested Wednesday night near Ft. Lauderdale, according to Spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright. Clark died Thursday morning after being admitted to Florida Medical Center for a medical evaluation.

Deputies arrested Clark after finding him struggling with a clerk at an Exxon gas station. He was inside the station's enclosed register area blocking the door and preventing two employees from exiting and deputies from entering.
Officials say it took several deputies to subdue and handcuff Clark.
The medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
