Deadly NW Dade Shooting
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - A man is in custody after police say he shot a woman in the head Monday night, killing her.
Authorities responded to a home on the 2300 block of Northwest 56 Street after reports of shots fired in the area.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, according to Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
Police say after the shooting, the suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later in the area of 59th Street and N. Miami Ave., according to police.
The identity of the suspect and victim have not been released.
