Orange Bowl Showdown Between Ohio State & Clemson
MIAMI (CBSMiami) --Football fans from Ohio, South Carolina, and South Florida filled Sun Life Stadium Friday night as the Ohio State Buckeyes and Clemson Tigers took the field for the Orange Bowl.
As fans filed into their seats, outside the stadium tickets were going cheap.
"Less than half price, so it's a great deal," said Steve Ryan, who had hoped to make a few dollars by selling tickets. He ended up lowering his price.
"So many tickets are available. The more available, the cheaper it gets because everybody's competing against each other to sell tickets," he said, adding, "Sometimes it's better to get something back than nothing."
A few fans from out-of-town were surprised to learn purses aren't allowed in the stadium. They had to trade them for clear plastic bags, but overall everyone seemed happy to be here to enjoy South Florida's version of football weather.
"Perfect night for football! It's not too hot. It's not cold great weather for football," said Nae Evans who lives in Miami.
Carla Murgas thought it was a little chilly. "I moved here two months ago and I'm sad to say my friends brought the cold weather from the north, coldest day since I moved here," she said.
The game kept fans on their feet, no matter which team they supported.
