Sunbeam Television, DirecTV Reach Retransmission Deal
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - South Florida FOX affiliate WSVN will now be able to be seen in homes with a DirecTV subscription.
Late Wednesay, Sunbeam Television Corp., which owns WSVN and two Boston stations, and DirecTV announced they have reach a programming deal.
Both channels had been blacked out to an estimated 270,000 Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe County DirecTV subscribers since January 13 due to a retransmission fee dispute.
The dispute was resolved just in time. One of the affected channels in Boston, an NBC affiliate, will carry the Super Bowl — featuring the hometown New England Patriots.
Details of the agreement weren't released.
