Sun & Storms Possible This Weekend
MIAMI (CBS4) - After a stormy start to the morning for portions of South Florida due some lingering moisture and an area of low pressure in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, the afternoon turned into a pleasant day for most of the area.
There still may be some spotty showers, but most storms that develop should be carried towards the Inland areas and out towards the West Coast due to the increasing Easterly breeze.
High pressure is building in and that onshore flow will stay with us through tomorrow. That means we could see some rain tonight and some showers again tomorrow morning.
And then if any storms develop in the afternoon, they will likely be carried towards the Interior and Gulf coast again by the ocean breeze out of the East.
Highs will climb to around 90 degrees through the weekend.
Saturday into Sunday a trough of low pressure will move of the Carolina coast and that, along with some additional moisture, may help to bring us a slightly better chance of storms on Sunday.
Early next week highs will soar to the low 90s and humidity will be on the increase with spotty storms around every day.
