Suck For Luck Angers Players

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Count Miami Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby as one of the many members of the Fins who are sick of hearing about the Suck for (Andrew) Luck movement.

"Yeah, it pisses me off," Dansby told the Palm Beach Post. "The people saying that, who are promoting it, they're not really Dolphin fans. That's how I look at it. We're not going to lay down and try to suck for Luck, man. Be real."

The movement is a call for the team to lose as many games as possible to secure the number one overall pick and select Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. It's growing amongst popularity in fans, but alienating players and even troubling Luck.

"I think it's stupid, simply put," Luck told the New York Times last week.

"That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," Fins safety Yeremiah Bell told the Post. "You're not going to lose games just to maybe get a guy in the draft who may not even pan out."

Still, Bell and other players can sympathize with the fans looking for something to latch onto at the quarterback position.

"It doesn't bother me," defensive end Jared Odrick told the Post. "I can understand why the fans are upset. We're 0-5."
