Substitute Teacher Headed Back To Court To Face Additional Charges

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A substitute teacher is headed back to court Wednesday to face additional charges as a third alleged victim has come forward.
Carlos Rojas Paz, 26, was first arrested on Friday. He is now facing a total of 18 charges for alleged relationships with three underage girls.
On Tuesday, a third alleged victim spoke out, resulting in the five additional charges filed against him for sexual battery of a person under 18 years of age.
Rojas Paz was a substitute teacher and training coach at Boyd Anderson High School.

On Monday, a 17-year old student claimed that on at least five occasions the two had sexual encounters inside his classroom at the high school.
Last week, a 16-year-old student accused him of carrying on a yearlong relationship.
Rojas Paz's attorney said he has no prior criminal history and he is trying to get his $730,000 bond reduced. He also plans to plead not guilty in the case.
Sunrise Police are urging anymore possible victims to come forward.
