Struggling Heat Take On Red Hot Warriors
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The 0-4 Miami Heat are hitting the road to take on the 4-0 Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
It was a real nail biter the last time the two teams played on February 12th at Golden State.
The Heat eked out a 111-110 victory on a three-pointer with just 0.1 left on the clock.
But an asterisk goes next to that narrow victory. It was turncoat LeBron James who hit the dagger.
Fortunately for the Heat, Chris Bosh is coming off of his best preseason performance against the Atlanta Hawks, where he score 22 and pulled down 9 boards.
With Bosh nearly fine-tuned for the start of the season and Dwyane Wade putting up respectable numbers, the real question lies with point guard position.
Mario Chalmers has been underwhelming this preseason; to the point where he was benched in favor of Norris Cole.
While Cole is known for his solid defense, the Heat will need more offensive production out of him. Through four games he has only reached double-digit points once.
More than ever, that production needs to happen Friday night; as Golden State is known for a high-powered offense helmed by their sensational point guard Stephen Curry.
Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
